I have multiple images as you can see and all in the same layer, and I have one page I would like to put each image into a page, so if I have 50 images, I would have 50 pages, also the page should be resized to the image dimension.
Is there a way that could make in an automatic way? (I don't care whether all object in one layer or each object have their own layer)
As usual, will not work correctly with text objects.
Respects the selection order. If you hold down the 'alt' key whist left dragging you can use the red selection line to snake through all your icons in order.
It's a one shot extension, does not respect the order of any existing pages.
Unzip into your user extensions folder, which can be found under Edit>Preferences>System>User Extensions
Hello there, I remember you guys.. but I'm too late in my response, I'm so sorry. It's not I took the solution and overlooking you. I'm too busy with my work. I hope you understand me.
Thank you @inklinea for the script and your efforts, thank you so much. I tried it now and it's working perfectly.
And of course I want to thank you @David248 for your support, I appreciate it.
Automatic way is easier, it helped me to do 186 page!!
Thank you again for all your work. And I'm happy to be a user of Inkscape and a member in this lovely community.

Hi
I think you have to separate by layer first.
And then recorded in .TAR
It's a kind of zip file with all layers in separate file.
Thank you for your response 👍
1. I need to put each one in a new layer manually?
2. So you mean when I save as tar file and extract it, I will have svg file for each layer? Great, How to join those svgs into one svg?
Yes.
after creating the layers in "Object Layers" *
you can drag and drop the objects in each layer.
Otherwise you can right click on one object. and in the menu choose "move to layer..." *
* I don't know if it's well translated from French
tar file
in the image there is an html file. It's from an svg file. Here it is just for illustration
I would first use align and distribute panel to reorganise the images into rows and columns.
Then use page tool to draw a page under each drawing and resize each page to its overlying content, as described here
Perhaps is there any extension for this process.
To avoid manual work, would have to be scripted.
Extensions>Images To Pages

With 186 pages - yes not practical to do manually !
