Hi. I use two methods. I'm on Linux Mint and double clicking on the font shows me a font viewer from where I can install them. But you can also look for the folder corresponding to the fonts from the Inkskape preferences and copy them there. You will need to reopen Inkscape when adding new fonts.
Thanks very much Marcos for the feedback on adding fonts. Can I ask you how does Linux Mint compare to Fedora Design Suite which I'm using. I'm having a few glitches with Fedora when it comes to updates. I would really appreciate your help on this. Thanks
No problem, I'm glad if it helped you. As for Linux, I'm not the best person to help you. When I left Windows and switched to LInux, someone recommended Mint and I haven't used any other distro. I am very happy with Mint because it is very easy to use and I have never had any serious problems. I'm sorry.
I'd like to know how I can add fonts to Inkscape. I'm using Lunux. Fedora Design suite to be exact.
