I’m having issues with things printing aligned as shown on the monitor/canvas..On the canvas everything will look great. Hit Print and Print Preview and in the Print Preview window everything that I created in inkscape is all out of alignment and that is how it prints. I have spent 2 weeks trying to figure it out. I am new to the newer version of Inkscape as the last time since used it was more than 5 years ago. I am mostly self taught so I figure most out from tutorials online and messing around. This is one I can’t seem to figure out. I have windows 11. I created black boxes and blurred them and made slightly opaque to go behind photos as full around shadows instead of drop shadows as well as shadows for other objects. The photos and other objects stay perfectly placed but the boxes(squares) I create do not. I have tried manually one at a time adjusting by going back and forth into print preview to see where it needs to go but it’s near impossible to get it completely accurate. using the X Y values doesn’t do the trick either. I can align and distribute and all looks great until print. I did notice that I can close in and out of the program many times and it still does the same but sometimes shifts it to a different location. I am not proficient enough in other programs to do what I am currently doing as a work around. Anyone else have this issue? I have seen one google search where one person had similar issue but, no real fix was given. Any help would be appreciated.

Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences. https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
After that, I'd save a copy as pdf and print from Adobe reader. That's pretty much bulletproof.
Thank you! I will try that .
