I know you can drag out guides fromΒ all 4 sides of the canvas and also from the 4 corners.Β I know you can double click the guide and set the angle. (off subject ... I wish you could fatten up the guide!)
I have a need for temporary guides at various angles while drawing up a map.Β I can also use the Pen tool and draw a short straight line for my needs.Β I am using the degrees from a compass app and want to draw trails on a map along that degree line for a certain distance.Β With the Pen tool, I can see the degrees in the status bar at the bottom and that works OK.Β I'd like to type in the number on the keyboard to be more accurate.Β I use Sketchup and that might be the problem!Β Trying to use those tools or ideas in Inkscape.
Just wonder if there is a keyboard entry system for Inkscape.
I guess I need to find some good tutorials about drawing up basic maps.
