I'm trying to add some extensions from the extension page, but can't get any to show up in inkscape after I restart it.

Under preferences, it's says my extensions folder is located at

C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\inkscape\extensions

But when I add it there, nothing shows up.
I've also tried adding extensions at

C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\inkscape\extensions

But no luck getting them to show up after adding them there as well.

Has anyone run into this issue?  How do I get the new extensions to show up in Inkscape?

Thought ... are the desired extensions (inx and py files, etc.) compatible withe the Inkscape version you are using? As in the given extension may only "work" with an Inkscape version  with a minimim of "x" version.

Suggestions: what Inkscape version do you have installed? What extensions? Are the extensions present under what particular sub-menu? It could be they are usable, just located within a sub-menu you are not accessing from Inkscape. I am sure someone will come along with more help and questions.

Turns out, I was not using the latest version of inkscape.  I updated it, and there they were.  Thanks for the help!

the right answer is C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\inkscape\extensions

I had trouble finding the right file path for windows

User extensions are properly placed in the user profile. Otherwise, they will be lost when Inkscape is updated.

The user profile extensions directory can be found in and opened from the System section of the Preferences dialog.
