Is it possible to export file to png, and still be able to zoom in without looking like raster ?
I tried export, save as, and zooming in still make it look jagged.

Also, what setting should i use such that when i "save a copy" as pdf, the pictures still remain sharp.

    Hi.

It isn't. Png is raster format. All it can have is transparency but it will look sharp only at a certain zoom level.

Rasterization settings in the pdf save are for preserving filter effects.

Filters are not suported by the pdf format, hence optionally you can preserve the appearance by adding in a raster double of the filtered parts, at the resolution given.

Most common instances of filter use are blurring and custom layer blending modes.

If you don't use filters, you don't have to worry about raster images -there won't be any in the pdf regardless any of the settings.

Also keep in mind just because inkscape is an svg drawing tool it won't make an embedded raster image turn to be vector in an exported pdf automagically.

That needs the trace bitmap option of the paths menu.
