When I'm in the 'fill and stroke' menu, there are several color palettes/models: HSL, HSV, RGB, CMYK, HSLuv, and CMS.
When I switch around to different palettes/models from the drop down menu it seems that Inkscape automatically calculates/translates the numerical values and the same color from different palettes/models (at least on my screen) displays the same. (Perhaps it would be an entirely different story if I was actually printing, more on that in a bit.)
I've been using HSV, but does it matter which color palette I work with? Ultimately my Inkscape project will be printed out at a professional/commercial printer -- in my limited knowledge it seems that CMYK is the palette/model that professional printers use and RGB is what computer monitors display.
So (and I think I'm finally getting to the point here) let's say I export my file as a .jpg, which color model (RBG, CMYK, etc...) does Inkscape bring with the file?? All of them?? Or do I end up manually selecting one model/palette to accompany the export?
P.S. printing question: I have an Epson EcoFlow Printer, ET-3760. It's just for personal use, nothing fancy, definitely not commercial/professional grade but it's been a great printer. It uses CMYK ink. If I want to see how some colors I'm using in Inkscape actually look on paper, will my printer print the colors just like a professional's printer would?
What language is that article written it?! Ha, ha. That's quite a bit over my head for a noob but I'll still have another go at reading, comprehending, and digesting it.
I should also clarify, that in my fill & stroke menu, I do see entirely different things for each of the color models (RBG, CYMK, HSV, etc....) like horizontal bars, values, etc..... so I don't think what I'm experiencing is an interface bug. I actually don't think I'm experiencing a bug at all. UNLESS the objects that are filled with color are supposed to slightly change in color as I switch through the color models/paletttes.
Again, it depends and it is complicated. The LA article explains pretty well the setup to use CMS in Inkscape and how to get the profile info out with a file.
Again, there may be a bug that I haven't found the reference to, so caveat emptor.
Hi everyone. I'm using Inkscape 1.3

Thank you for any info you can share.
It's complicated. I'd start here: https://librearts.org/2011/09/how-to-get-cmyk-colors-from-inkscape-to-scribus/
I think there is also an interface bug, maybe this: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/601, but they may be another.
