inkscape automatically shutdown when  i try to save manually..

Please help me...

What OS and machine specs and Inkscape version and what do you do step-by-step when saving? Manually means "autosave" works?

I'm using ubuntu 20.210, and  a laptop HP probook 430 G1 , when i start to draw in inkscape, then I want to save it, then automatically inkscape shutdown, I mean inksace is closed.

Can you enable "Autosave" at Preferences->Input/Output->Autosave to Interval 1 or 2 in minutes and draw something and see if after the interval a file is saved at the displayed or adjusted directory?

There is no autosave.

Finally, easy to solve it... reinstall then install again

I´m sure it was there already. Type in "autosave" without quotes in the search field at Preferences.

I'm getting this problem with the snap version running under ubuntu 20.04.2

inkscape  1.1-ce6663b3b7-2021-05-25  9090  latest/stable  inkscape✓  -

I've reverted to the previous snap package, with no change.

Autosave with period of 1 min does not crash.

Can anyone point me to earlier snap packages?
