I was making something yesterday but today the Inkscape program buttons were changed. without request. I know about the different icon choices. But this changed the configuration or the lay out of the buttons. I uninstalled and reinstalled Inkscape without remedy. How do I change the button configuration back to the way it was. Here are two screenshots of the buttons before and after. Where did the snaps column go? Thank you kindly

The controls can be placed above the work area with View>Defalut.

Looks like your Inkscape has updated to 1.2.  Snaps are in a menu, not a bar.

Oh snap! This is a new version I will have to learn. I did not notice. I did not see a View>Default but that's okay. I watched the video tutorial. Would highly recommend it. Multi-page pdf is new.
 
  The feature I was hoping for was a screen recorder extension that records a rectangle without showing the tool bar or affected by zoom.
