Beginners' Questions Back to default settings and what do I do to get the numbers around drawing page larger?

    Can anyone point me in the direction  of resetting the default set-up?

    Additionally, how do I enlarge the numbers around the drawing area grid?

    Hi, Once upon time I had asked the similar question in the older inkscape forum and got this reply

    By brynn:

    Some tools have a Default button on the control bar, to revert back to that tool's
    default settings. To reset the whole program, I think you need to delete the preferences.xml file. Then close Inkscape. When you re-open it, the pref file will be recreated with defaults. I think the pref file is in C:\username\AppData\inkscape.
