Creating New Extensions Retrieving stroke style information through Inkex API.

    Is it possible to somehow retrieve stroke style informations using Inkex API? I want to build an extension which behaves differently basing on such data. 

    Or do I have somehow to read the attributes of objects? Or perhaps restrain to the Inkscape query call through subprocess module?
