I'm new to Inkscape. My goal is to create an SVG file that can be uploaded into cutting machine software such as Cricut.
I have transparent rectangles in my design. Some of the transparent designs have text inside of them.
When I upload the completed design into the cutting machine software, the transparent rectangles are black-filled.
I have used "help" and searched the topics here as well as Googled away to no avail.
How can I fix this? Any help is very much appreciated! I have attached a photo of the file uploaded into Cricut with the black boxes filled like I don't want.
By transparent, I'll assume you mean no fill color and a dark stroke. If this is the case, I'd use menu: Path>Stroke-to-path on all rectangles (you can select all and use the operation).
If this is not the solution you seek, please share an example Inkscape SVG file.
