Beyond the Basics Linked Image - PreserveAspectRatio Pixel Bleed

    Inkscape Version - 1.1.2

I have been having an issue with linked images where the PreserveAspectRatio value is set to something other than 'None'. When I set the PreserveAspectRatio for the linked image to be 'MidXMidY Meet' the image is centered in the height and width as expected and the remaining space is clear as expected. You can see this in Image1 which I attached.

If I add any sort of path or background object to this image, the edge pixels from my linked image start to bleed to outside of the objects. This can be seen in Image2.

If I zoom in, the pixel bleed from the image appears to go away, as seen in Image3. However, when I attempt to export the artwork as an image, the pixel bleed shows in the output image.

For this specific example, I know I could easily fix it by sizing the image to match the aspect ratio. I am hopeful someone can confirm they are seeing this behavior as well. Is there a solution? Is this an Inkscape bug? An svg bug?

I recently upgraded from Inkscape 0.92.5 and did not experience this behavior.
