I use Inkscape many years since 2008 and always, last time work is Tuesday. Today it stop work, it show its Icon on dock but not open windows, can't open SVG docuemnts. This problem cause production delay.

    Mac OS X 10.7.5

Try use console for start Inkscape:

    $./inkscape

    (process:34763): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
    Aug 15 10:55:57 Ho-Chau.local inkscape[34762] <Error>: kCGErrorInvalidConnection: CGSGetWindowTags: Invalid connection
Aug 15 10:55:57 Ho-Chau.local inkscape[34762] <Error>: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.

Program no do any thing after this error message. I aslso try:

    • Remove inkscape folder from Saved Application State folder

    • Download Inkscape 0.48.5 and replace in Application folder

    • Download Inkscape 0.91

    All fail.

Try the current Inkscape 0.92.2 on a Mac and make sure to follow instructions (also check our FAQ at https://inkscape.org/learn/faq), or test the new alpha version (http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/MacOS_alpha).

I can start Inkscape 0.48.5 by open application package and "Open With..." X11. I can continue work now.

FAQ link not tell any thing about this problem-> Inkscape work many years then stop work.

Version 0.92.2 not work. This is error message when start from console:

    $ ./Inkscape

    (process:11767): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
    Aug 16 09:04:53 Ho-Chau.local Inkscape[11763] <Error>: kCGErrorInvalidConnection: CGSGetWindowTags: Invalid connection
Aug 16 09:04:53 Ho-Chau.local Inkscape[11763] <Error>: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.

    Welcome to the forum!

I don't think we have many Mac users here.  Possibly in the chatroom you could find Mac users?  Or you could try the mailing list?  Info for both here:  https://inkscape.org/community/

I'm not a Mac user, so I don't understand the error messages.  The only thing I could suggest is to think about what kind of changes you might have made to your system around the time Inkscape stopped working.  (like maybe system updates or something?)  But I think you might have better luck in chat or mailing list.

After test stuff for several week, ONLY Inkscape have problem, all other softwares work: Blender, OpenOffice, Audacity, Terminal, etc. I update OpenSSL version is only system change before Inkscape stop work. Why this cause prblem I not know.
