Is there a way to hide/disable the menu bar (the one with the File, View, Edit... options)!? I did not find any way of doing it in the Preferences or View sections.
But I would rather disable this from Inkscape rather than to fiddle with Windows, because the menu bar is something usable in my workflow, I just simply want to hide it when I do not need it.

That does not disable the Bar. I tried with F11, Ctrl + F11 and Shift + F11. The results are always the same.
Mmh - on macOS it will hide the Main menu.
Ah, I am in Windows.. I forgot that MacOS and Linux are different.
Is it probably a Windows Preferences setting that might be enabled first to hide Main menus or does it work in other apps by default?
Not to my knowledge. At most it can hide the close/minimize bar, but not the menu bar.

Have you checked Inkscape Preferences->Theming for any properties in this regard? Not in front of Inkscape right now.
Yes, none of the options there related to the menu bar.
