I am trying to take a Star of David from a stainless window photo and make everything except the star checkerboard transparent so I can use it to make a flag.
Here is the original image:
I was able to get a cutout using the bezel and set clip feature. But how to I make the interior hexagon and triangles also transparent? Thanks in advance.
The star of David is a pattern made from two triangles, one of which is inverted. The hexagon occurs naturally, and its not necessary to make it. Do you want to make the interlocking effect ?
If you make a triangle using the 'create stars and polygons tool' - set the corners to 3. Hold the Ctrl key when dragging. Copy the triangle then press Ctrl+Alt+v to 'paste in place'.
Tap the ] ( square bracket key) four times and you have a star of David !
You can copy and paste in place, then tap > or < a set number of times to scale the copy then move it into position using the arrow keys.
Making the interlocking effects requires cutting of the paths and changing their position in the stack though.
(edit should have removed the white background from one of the triangles though )
