Hi, if I print my image from File > Print... some of the elements/objects, in the image don't get printed. With a bit of fiddling, I can get some of them to print, but not all. If I convert to PDF they all print, but then I lose the flat smooth color, the vector image gives. And one day, I may want to enlarge it to fit A3 paper.
Thank you for that advice. I did do a PDF test, and it did work but I wanted to keep the files as Vectors for the smoother lines, and ability to enlarge the work if wanted. When I printed it in one pass, everything was there, but I want to print each layer separately, treating each layer as if it were a traditional printing plate/block. And that is when some of the elements go missing, and some colours/layers won't print at all. It looks as if I will have to do my designs in Krita, and bring them over to Inkscape for accurate positioning, (this worked well), or go to PDF as you suggested.

It may be easier to resolve the rasterization of elements in the PDF export, than to get Inkscape to print reliably.
Avoiding the use of masks, blurs and transparencies are ways to keep the entire image from being rasterized and retaining vector objects in the pdf.

Thanks again for your help -- much appreciated.
