I am trying to place a group of square alone a semi circle. I have tried to use extensions/generate from path/pattern along path. When I use this it is placing the squares on top of the line as if it 3d object. What I want is the pattern at B.
I have to make a 10 similar rows that gradually grow longer so I would like to find a way to do this faster that just creating them one by one.

Do you mean that the semi-circle will become more and more closer to being a circle, as the semi-circle path grows longer? Or do you mean that you will have concentric rows of semi-circles, sort of like a seating chart for a stage or arena? Will the squares become larger too? Or just the path?
I'm not sure about a faster way to reach your goal, until I'm sure I understand what the final result is supposed to be.
I think I'd use interpolate and would rather interpolate the white lines and cut them out from the bands then try to create 3D looking deformed squares that are also rounded on two of their sides and follow a rounded path.
Misread. This is the option the user doesn't want.

Is there a tool I can use to do this?
Many thanks for all of your help.
Try switching the Deformation Type from Ribbon to Snake.

Looks like you used 'ribbon', try snake.
Sorry, Brynn posted while I was playing with the PAP LPE.
No worries. I don't find it a crime when someone posts the same thing someone else posted.

Scatter?
Have a nice day.
