Hi guys, I'm now using Inkscape to edit some svg decals, in order to use the decal in a game, I turn PNG files to SVG files. But here is the problem, the game(GT7 if u wonder)requires that uploadable SVG files can be a maximum of 15KB. So usually I use the Trace Bitmap option, and get an svg file much much bigger than 15KB with so many dots to delete, then I delete the redundant dots one by one manually, this progress usually takes me more than 12hours to complete. But when I asked a player, he told me I can manually trace the picture and use much less time to complete my work. He said he can turn a PNG character CG into svg by using less than an hour. Sadly this patient guy speaks Japanese, though he told me a lot, but I can't understand much.
Here is my question: where is this manual bitmap trace, where can I find it and use it. Or is there a better way to optimize the path much faster than delete the dots one by one? Or how can I let the AI know which several colors I want to scan?
I brought your avatar into Inkscape, trace bitmap (optional), changed opacity and locked on a layer. Added layer and with bezier just draw quick lines on image. Then edit paths by nodes just click on line and drag into place. On head of avatar for example didn't need the two lines could have used just one line. After a little trying it is quick and easy. Easier to do than to explain.
