I tried to sort the dialogs by drag and drop. However, they line up side by side, narrowing the canvas. If I drag it down, it will become a window. I want to sort the dialog vertically. Would you please give me your opinion?
I don't use MacOS, but this works on Linux, so I hope it's the same on Macs too.
To move a dialogue box, drag it by the title text, NOT by the coloured bar at the top. I've included an image that shows where to drag from.
Drag the dialogue box over to the panel area on the right hand side. Look for the blue coloured highlight. This indicates where the dialogue box is going to be positioned when you drop it. You need the blue highlight to cover the entire panel area. If it only covers half the area, you'll end up with two columns. If you move the dialogue box around a little, you should see the blue highlight changing shape from half width to full width.

Thank you for telling me.
very helpful.
I tried it, but it failed.
No highlighting when dragging.
And after all it will be lined up side by side.
It was successful with Inkscape 0.92.
