I'm using inkscape for a while on a really low level. Main goal is to create inkscape files to use with a laser cutter.
Now I want to cut a piece of multiple paths but without success. I'm able to cut a path with a rectangle using the path -> division function. all good path is cutted correctly.
When I have e.g. 4 paths and I do the same there's just one path cutted left after using the path -> division function.
For example I have this four hearts:
Goal is to get all inside the rectangle cutted:
If I select the 4 hearts and then the rectangle path and then use the path -> division function this happens - looks like it only cuts the last selected heart:

From a quick look Iยดd say: select the 4 hearts and go Path->Combine - put the rectangle above, select all and go Path->Intersection
@polygon that's working great. A big thank you to you!
Glad you figured.ย ๐
