I have the Italian version and I am not sure about the English names of the menus.

I reinstalled Inkscape with the msi package found on the official site but it keeps showing this when I select the Text tool!
I have no idea why it is listed as custom, I just removed the languages.
On the other programs the fonts work perfectly.
    Active Package it is blank.

All Windows versions is currently detected as custom (tested on Win 11).

Just change the font when you are done typing (sans-serif is never installed).

Question: Why is it listed if it is not installed? Shouldn't only installed characters be listed?
Problem: Even if it would work to change the character at the end of typing, I don't see as I type the result. But I don't think that's what you meant.

True, I notice today that sans serif is strikethrough.

I have tried using other font, with this result.
In the case of the third text, I started in Verdana and then changed to Stencil.

However, I restored the basic settings and it took to writing correctly.

Good question. Maybe generic font families will be presented differently in a later version?
