Recently I changed the dialog behavior to floating due a issue I had where the dialogs were moving automatically to the upper right corner of the screen each time I reopened them. With the 'floating' behavior it doesn't happen anymore but I have now a new issue: Because dialogs are now floating and not dockable they all show up when I start the program and it doesn't matter if I close the ones I don't want/need/use they all keep showing up when I restart the program, I have to close them every time I restart.
I'm a little confused. The dialogs can't move if they are docked. So if they were moving to the upper-right corner, they must have already been floating. Or maybe moving to the upper right corner isn't the best description? Because I know some people have complaints about the dock. But I haven't heard anything about moving to upper right corner.
I think some of the settings I mentioned in your other message, might doing this. Preferences > Interface > Windows, and regarding dialog and window behaviors. If you changed any of those, look again at Saving Window Geometry and Saving Dialog Status.
Oh, also tell us what version of Inkscape you're using. I've actually never heard of all the floating dialogs opening on restart. So if this is happening with 1.0beta, it needs to be reported asap.
As I say in my "original" post (it was about a different issue), I just did a fresh Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Installation and the problem was fixed, I suppose the cause has something to do with my old special windows settings.

Is this normal? If no, what i'm missing here?

Also, can you try to go back to normal dialog behavior and check oif it remembers dialog status in this case?
If yes, you can try to go back to floating dialogs afterwards and check if it still opens some dialogs on startup.
