I have recently started using Inkscape on a new laptop (having previously used the tool with the inkstitch extension on another computer with no issues)
On this new laptop, I was able to download the Inkscape app from the Microsoft Store. On initial attempt it did not create my system directories but this seemed to correct itself after reinstalling it.
I extracted the Inkstitch zip into the extensions folder and can see the menu within Inkscape extensions but when clicking on the Params option, nothing happens. I am not sure what the issue is , there is no error, it just does not open.
Can anyone help me out incase I am missing a step.
Hi Everyone,

I am pleased that Inkscape is available on the Microsoft app store. However, it seems that initially you experienced an install problem ?
You mention being able to extract a zip file - so I assume you are comfortable with navigating folders.
If you do not have any critical preferences you have saved, such as shortcuts or other extensions I would recommend:
Uninstalling Inkscape.
Navigate to:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\inkscape
then delete the inkscape folder.
Then go to:
https://inkscape.org/release/1.1.1/windows/
If you are using Windows 7 or higher, you want the 64 bit version.
Install that ( make sure you choose 'add Inkscape to path' checkbox )
Launch Inkscape once, then File>Quit.
Then install Inkstitch again.
