I have tried for a month to figure this out. When using inkstitch, the letters I am trying to stitch out do not show anything visible between my letters in the program but when export to pes file and emborder it all the letters are connected. Its not cutting it. can anyone help or have a video they know of I can watch?

I am using a brother PE900. sorry meant to add that earlier. I think the brother doesn't recognize the command. Is there another way to do this?

There is a setting on your machine to trim the thread before a jump stitch. Turn this on and it will cut jump stitches automatically.

When trimming is on and it doesn't trim, then the length of the jump stitch is below the value for the "jump stitch length not to trim". Lower this value.

Please note, that each trim leaves additional thread and knots at the backside of the embroidery. Trimming is to be avoided as much as possible. For letters it kinda makes sense though. If you use fabric where the thread can sink in well, you can also consider to add a small stitch in between the letters (smaller stitches sink in better) to avoid a trim.
