Any form of modification to the file including adding layers or trying the delete objects causes the file to not respond. The file is a compressed svg with a size of 13,868 KB. Is there any way to fix the non-responsiveness of the file, there are no unused definitions.     

That would be an extraordinarily large svg file, particularly if it is that size when compressed.

Feel free to post a link to the file at some sharing site. The file will be too large for attachment on the forum.
