I'm not really a beginner, but this seems like a beginner problem, so....
I've got an issue that's giving me a bit of a headache with the Measuring Tool. I've got the Document Properties set to 'in.', which is how I want the measurements to display, but no matter what I get measurments in 'mm'. (Screenshot attached if needed).
I'm sure it's easy enough, but so far, I'm stumped.
Greetings,

🤔
Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences. https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
Thanks Tyler. Definitely worth a try, but, unfortunately, no joy. The post-reset effect is the same; all measurements in 'mm'.
By the way, I'm running 1.3.2.
Any additional thoughts are certainly of interest.

Time for system info and all that jazz. Working here in Win 10. Inkscape 1.3.2.
Lagging in the OS. I'm still at 8.1 😑. Inkscape 1.3.2. I seem to recall only having this problem after the last update. I was running 1.3 beta.
No shame in that... I held on as long as I could too.
Unfortunately, the developers won't support OSs that have been EOL'd. Inkscape v1 series is one reason why I upgraded the OS to 10.
You might try checking to see if your python in up to date. The version 1 series uses Python3.
