The drawing canvas can infinite zoom in & out. But that amount of zoom-in or out is not needed (at least by me).
The problem is I can keep zooming out and out, it is sometimes to the point that I loose the canvas and have to run around searching for it.
If it was possible to limit this zoom in & out to some fraction of page size, would make things a little easier.
Thanks
In addition to what TD suggested, here are some other features.
You don't have to zoom indefinitely.....in fact, I'm not sure how to do that. The zoom tool only zooms in certain increments (not sure what it is, at the moment). Or you can zoom with mouse wheel, and just stop when you get to where you want. Or in the far bottom-right corner, you can edit the number there, to get a specific level.

We are able to move messages and topics, but they don't leave in place a redirection link. So the member has no idea what happened to their message. Poor choice of words. I meant that I'm not sure how to zoom without having any control, so that it accidentally goes out to 5% or up to 20000% (for example).
Thanks for the tip, pressing 5 is mch more helpful than it was before, but since many editors do it with Ctrl+Alt+0 shortcut, that wasn't obvious to me.
However, I still feel, even if it isn't infinite zoom, the zoom level 25600% is too big, the image would start appearing like a tiny dot a lot earlier, before the user reaches that zoom level. And, since the graphics are vectors, it doesn't make any sense (at least for me to zoom in to that level). I would like, if canvas was more rigid, so that I have a clue about the drawing space I have & I can use to create my drawings. Say, I can set the zoom-out to a certain level that, would help me to have a look at certain percentage, rather than randomy running every time.
Note: I am not complaining the Inkscape is bad or anything for that matter, I know it got its own set of issues.
Some of the keyboard shortcuts may not be available for non-US keyboard layouts, but most (not all) of these shortcuts are configurable by the user. You can create custom shortcuts and load custom keyboard shortcut files in the Inkscape Preferences, or by following the instructions in the default.xml file.
If you get lost, you can zoom to fit page to window. (Number 5 key, or button in the commands bar.)
(Mods: This post should be moved to the beginners' forum.)

Indefinitely isn't exactly true, it goes until 25600 %. More zoom shortcuts are listed here: https://inkscape.org/doc/keys.html#idm435

Thank You. :)
3,4,and 5 are quite helpful in screen navigation.
Many more here: https://inkscape.org/doc/keys092.html
Have a nice day.
