Graphics Math Library 2geom's First Release Available For Use Beyond Inkscape

Inktober 2017

Inkscape is a great tool for creating vectorized versions of sketches. The InkTober event every year is a challenge of drawing and inking artworks, based on a certain set of ideas which you can then post to show off your amazing skills and keep practising your art. We've put together a gallery where you can post your InkTober artworks as well as a few how to videos for ways you can use inkscape in the creation of inked vectors of sketches.

Inkscape 0.92.2 Delivers Greater Stability and Easier Contributions

Inkscape 0.92.2 brings a number of fixes and small usability enhancements to this popular vector-graphics application. It is also the first release after migrating the project's code to GitLab. These amount to a more stable and capable creative tool that can now receive improvements from a much larger development community.

What Happened at Hackfest 2017

This year's Inkscape hackfest was held at the Carrefour Numérique², in Paris, France. Nine developers and contributors joined together to fight bugs, add features and talk about the future of Inkscape development and community.

The Inkscape project has completed its planned move from launchpad using the bazaar repository system, to GitLab using the git repository system.
