I would like to contribute to Inkscape with this image as a way of thanking the developers for sharing this wonderful piece of software. Thanks! The black Inkscape squid ejects colored ink. It's somehow inspired by Inkscape's logo (my wife says it reminds her of a toon squid). The "Inkscape 1.1" text, as well as "inkscape.org" and "F.Tella" signature are using Architects Daughter font (from Google Fonts): https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Architects+Daughter?preview.text=&preview.text_type=custom&category=Handwriting&query=Ar#standard-styles "Draw Freely." text is using the default Euphoria Script Regular Extended

As a novice Inkscape user this graphic was very tricky for me to draw. There is a lot I don't know, but Inkscape is fairly intuitive, which makes the learning process enjoyable. I hope to participate in more Inkscape contests and get better along the way. Let me know what you think about the concept/style!

Character created purposedly for this contest. The headress outer shape meant to resemble silhouette of Inkscape logo (though not too strict), elements like the symmetrical grass-like overall shapes are to represent the version number (1.1).
