I had to drop everything I was doing in Inkscape for about a year. Now I am slowly getting back. Recently I was watching a video regarding using Path Effects. I figured that I retained enough general knowledge to start in the "advanced beginner category." Watched the video carefully from beginning to end... or so I thought when I started my own. The video started by placing the text - sized it accordingly - and then turned the object into a path. After the object to path the video shows the individual letters as a "Group of 3...", mine does not. I followed what I though was verbatim, but it didn't work. Why?
Because we now have Path->Split Path. Downside to the former version is we no longer can get individual glyphs from ligatures when script fonts are used.
Hello,
I had to drop everything I was doing in Inkscape for about a year. Now I am slowly getting back. Recently I was watching a video regarding using Path Effects. After the object to path the video shows the individual letters as a "Group of 3...", mine does not. I followed what I though was verbatim, but it didn't work. Why?
