I recently brought a new vinyl cutter and by the looks of it need to learn how to use inkscape as it exports to plain SVG. I used to use 2D Design to create all my DXFs but that's not working with signcut. I have made the grids visible to help etc but I'm stuck on how the grid sizing works? Say I wanted to draw a 10mm square, I would have thought that the grids would be rounded numbers but they aren't. I drew a 10mm square but had to resize it as it was coming out at 10.58.
Is there a way to change the grid squares to say 1mm x 1mm etc?
If the size is unexpected (but close), it may be the "bounding box" is set to visual instead of geometric in the preferences. Visual will include the width of the stroke.

Grid size can be set in the Document Properties.
