I've been playing with inkscape for a while, and have found a pretty frustrating thing!
I'm making these maps for my laser cutter, and would like a way to quickly delete path nodes that fall outside my map bounding box (which is a hexagon). I cant find an easy way (other than selecting all, rotate by 30 degrees) to select along the alternate lines. I dont understand why rotating the canvas doesn't allow me to select along the x/y of my computer and still forces me to select along the x/y of the canvas (even though its rotated).
I've attached one of the maps, the red lines should be cropped at or just beyond the purple interior frame.
Do you guys know of a good fix for this type of issue/problem?

If you are looking at complex path operations. cut / exclusion.
