I do the majority of my work using the Pen Tool (bezier). I use the "B" hotkey for this. Up until version 1.3 I would press the "B" key, draw my line, and then I'd simply press "B" again when I wanted to start another line.
After upgrading to 1.3 I now have to select another tool(I press the "S" key for selector tool) and then re-select the Pen tool to draw another line. So now I press the "B" key, draw my line, then I press "S", then press "B" again in order to draw another line.
Does anyone know if this is a bug, or if they just changed the behavior of the Pen Tool. I can't imagine the benefit of the latter case.
Thank you TylerDurden. I reset my preferences as you mentioned but the behavior is still the same. I'm curious, have you noticed this same thing in 1.3 (if you have 1.3)?
It's new to me that hitting "B" key a second time will start a new path. Normally you'll need to finish a path first (by a right click or hitting enter or return).

Before proceeding further, I'd reset the preferences: https://inkscape.org/forums/questions/getting-back-to-square-one-and-starting-over-its-easy/
