I've got a very simple drawing I want to print out full size, which is 90cm x 180cm. I have saved it as a PDF, then opened it in Acrobat Reader and tried to print it out, which I've done with several other images with no trouble. However, I'm having problems with this one.
If I print it so that the whole image prints on one sheet of A4 paper, it prints fine.
But when I try to print all of it, using the "poster"option in Acrobat Reader (which is how I've printed other similarly sized images) it doesn't print properly. I just get a few odd lines, here and there, which are obviously part of my image, but a lot of it is missing, and a few of the lines have been juggled about a bit.
I've tried recreating the PDF by deleting it and saving the SVG file as a PDF again, from within Inkscape, but get the same results.
I've attached it to this post (I think!) and would be grateful if anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Sorry, I made a mistake in my original post--the size should be 90 x 190, not 90 x 180 as I said. So the size isn't wrong, but the printing issue remains. I'll try the version you so kindly added and see if that works (fingers crossed), but I'd still like to know what I did wrong to make the PDF print out so strangely, if anyone can work it out, so that if it happens again I'll know how to fix it.
And thanks for your help, Polygon. Much appreciated.
I've tried to print out the version Polygon posted but am still getting the odd printing thing. Here are a few photos of some of the pages it printed out (I hope).
"I found the drawing is a grouped group. Can you please ungroup till you get to the "raw" path like here:"
Sorry, Polygon, I'm probably being dense but I am not sure what you mean. Did you intend to add a link there or something?
I've selected the entire image in Inkscape and have used the objects>ungroup function on it a few times, but it's still all one object from what I can tell. Was I meant to do something else? I hope I've now attached my Inkscape SVG.
"When you select the drawing check the Status bar please:"
OK. Where you have highlighted "Group of 1 object in layer cells", I have "Path 340 node in layer Layer 1"
I have to go out now, so won't get back for a few hours, but I really hope you work out what I've done wrong! I really appreciate your help with this. It's very kind of you.
OMG - that´s so strange - doesn´t even seem the right file at all. Don´t you get a printer preview from your printer dialog? To me the file is ok - could be a printer issue - in Inkscape you can tell to print SVG or bitmap. Not sure AR has the same option as I don´t use any software from "A".
Another option could be to export the file to PNG and print that out.
I'm back home now, and am still confused about this.
The file prints fine if I downsize the image so it all fits on one page. It's when I try to print it in its full size that I get that odd jumble of lines.
When I first made that PDF it took up 35 pages in Adobe to print the whole thing (which it did incorrectly). But now it takes 40 pages, and still prints incorrectly. The PDF that Polygon made for me prints at 35 pages. I wonder what's up with that?
I do get a printer preview in Adobe Reader, which looks fine. I've double checked that I've got the newest driver for my printer, and the newest version of Adobe Reader.
I have tried printing this straight from Inkscape but it only printed a couple of pages from the edge of the image, a single column down one side, and that was it. But that's the case with everything I've tried to print with Inkscape, which is why I started using Adobe Reader instead.
I'll see if I can work this with another format but meanwhile, thanks again for trying to help, Polygon.
I still believe it´s not the PDF but how AR interprets it. I´d check its menus up+down. Do you have any other PDF viewer on board that can poster print?

Seems the size is different from your specs here in AffinityPublisher and Inkscape as well:
A print out will be on 35 pages regarding printer preview.
Here´s an PDF export from AP you can try instead. No guarantee.

Wow - that is totally weird.
Here´s a version without grouped group. Can you please test this one?
When you select the drawing check the Status bar please:
New version without grouped group is still weird.
I was really hoping you'd sorted it, Polygon!

Yeah - that sounds frustrating all along. Any chance to export as PNG and print out this? Will be around 1MB so no RAM eater.

Not sure if this PDF can help you out - it contains all 35 pages in a multiple pages PDF:
May I suggest. Select the only path in cells_dbG3ewP.svg. From the menu select Path -> Break apart. Save a copy as .pdf.
In Adobe reader select A4 Landscape in order to print 35 pages.
