Maybe this is easy to solve but i was wondering why my coreldraw file shrink in Inkscape. My original file has 60mm x 80mm frame but in inkscape it's a lot smaller. I use a crd file. If i use ai files or svg files it's also not the correct size.
Has enyone an explanation for this? I use osx Catalina
I tried all kind of programs but even when i Inkscape alone there are problems with keeping the right size of my design.
For instance, a square 100,0mm X 100,0mm with rounded corners with r=10,0mm, a very easy object. I noticed that when i later on (with or without saving inbetween) when i try to look for the right dimensions they are not the same as they are when i started it to draw. It has been changed a little bit, not much but enough for me to call the programme unusable for a precision job. I need better then 0,2mm. preferable less then 0,1mm and it whould be awesome it it would be better then that.
I did that already. The problem is that if i make the dimensions 100 x 100 in the geometric box and make the corner round it simple don't stay this way. Exporting to other programms show that too. geometric changes, in Windows or Apple versions it's the same problem
In the meanwhile i changed something. But now i forgot how to do it.... grrr something with change looks fro grafical to .... can't find how i did it but it looks better now,
Hi all

Martin
CDR files is always the wrong size in Inkscape.
The bug report is 3 years old.

Could you share some sample files for those other formats?

For more precision, go to Preferences -> Tools. Select Geometric bounding box.

Maybe precision settings:
thanks i will look at this.
In the meanwhile i changed something. But now i forgot how to do it.... grrr something with change looks fro grafical to .... can't find how i did it but it looks better now,
I found the solution for my problem:
-preferance
-tools
- change visual to grafical
