I would love to be able to move messages which are posted in the wrong boards. (It still is happening too often, in my experience.) But unfortunately, despite noble efforts from Martin (at least 2 tries that I know of), it does not leave the topic in place, to tell the member where their message went. It will seem to disappear, to EdnaBrockman, if we move it.
Once she sees our comments, I'll be glad to move it. But this would obviously not be a good long term solution.
I'm not sure what the problems is, with making the redirection link (and probably could not understand if I was told). But if it's not been declared impossible, perhaps we could put out a call for help, to the coding community?
Next, I'll post in Forum Issues board asking for help from coders. Might also post in a chatroom, if that would seem helpful? I'm not sure, but certainly would not object.
How do you import a jpeg into Inkscape, I finally got beta onto my Mac and figured out how to open a old svg, but I can't import a pic into inkscape
Could it be this issue: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/issues/459 ?
If not please provide exact details about what you try and what happens.
Well that's bout what happen, not sure about all of that, just wanna know how to get a pic off google or somewhere and import into Inkscape

I'm not on macOS, the link is all I can give you. Read it slowly and carefully, and try around a bit until you've got it.
I edited your title, to hopefully attract someone who knows about Macs. Maybe they will be able to simplify it for you? Don't give up yet 🙂
Maybe we can move this to general new user questions.

I'd be glad to do that myself. Here's that Issue, where I just clarified what is needed: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-web/issues/396
