    Hello,

I have made a really simple design, only text. I downloaded and installed a font called Gilbert. It works fine in inkscape, but when I save the file in SVG and mail it, it looks like the lower.

How do I do so my design look like the original. I must mail it to a person in SVG so he can ues it in print.

    Thank you!!!

    😀

    Welcome to the forum!

If the person you're mailing it to needs to edit the text, then they will need to install that font on their computer.  If they don't need to edit the text, and they only want to print the image, you could change the text to paths (Path menu > Union).  Then the text will display and print correctly for them.

The reason they don't see it correctly is probably because they don't have that font installed.  So their computer uses a substitute font.

Yeap...same doubt...problem solved, but what about if i want to keep the editable in a layer? i just did it invisible and transformed the text to union paths...and that's it...i suppose the file is a little bit bigger but shouldn't be that much right?
