Beginners' Questions Ho i can create Trapezoid

    I am trying to create Trapezoid in inkscape

    But i am not able to draw trapezoid in inkscae can anyone help me with it.

    Draw a rectangle object and convert to path (Path - > Object to Path). Then edit the nodes by selecting the node and move node by f.x. arrow keys or define x,y coordinates.

    Another method is to create an isosceles triangle with the desired angles, split in half, drag apart and rejoin with horizontal lines.

    Another method uses transform handles on two nodes, with the shift-key for move-from-center.

    That's the best one yet. I learned about that method a while ago, but it escaped my alleged mind.

    strange. I am able to create the trapezoid and move one node, but not the two using shift

    To embed short clips, I capture as GIF.

    As for the nodes, the trick is to grab the transform handles, not the nodes. (Shift for transform from center.)
