Help solve the problem. Previously, I could copy elements from one Inkscape window to another and everything was fine, they were copied as vector ones and kept the gradient and transparency. Today I am copying an element and it is pasted as a bitmap.
Try to select all objects then 'duplicate' and cut versus using copy. Let us know if that doesn't work, if not, we might need to see the actual file to see what's going on.
Thanks friends! I use Windows 10 and 0.92 version. The problem resolved itself after rebooting the laptop. I think it was some kind of malfunction in the clipboard

What OS and Inkscape version? If it's <v1.0 on the Mac, take a look at this: https://inkscape.org/learn/faq/#copypaste-rasterizes-objects
