Cool design. Do you like Rhino 3d? i looked at it for CNC and decided it was too much money. I think what you want is to group all objects> then use the allign and distribute menu(shift+ctrl+A), if you like how it looks as a group.
Change Align drop down to PAGE (if not already)
then click center on vertical axis
then click center on horizontal axis
If you want the Rin to be dead center don't group the letters with it, do them separately.
I`d use the alignment tool as well. But coordinates 0,0 are not in the center of the page. They point to the upper left corner of the image.
If your object (or group) has a width of 40 px, your image would go to -20, -20.
You can use the snipping tool (see attached image). The elipses to the right indicate snipping enabled. The select just the center of objects and the page. Grab your group with the mouse and move it until it snapps to the upper left corner of the page. Done.
Being 0,0 at top left of the default page shown in the canvas (working area), the fastest method is to activate snap to both object center/rotation center and page, then click and drag the object (or group) at top left corner of the page until the snap took place.
Is there any key combination to move the center of an object to coordinate 0,0 exactly?
Rin Inkscape
This Rin was made in Rhinoceros 3d and send to inkscape
Thanks in advance
