Using Inkscape with Other Programs From .ai to .svg -> entire transparent file

    I opened a .ai file in Inkscape (version 1.2, fresh install, default settings). It looks good in Inkscape, however when I want to export/save as .svg (tried both Export and Save as) the result is a completely transparent .svg file (opened in image viewer or e.g in Gimp). When I export as .png the image looks OK.

    Anyone an idea? Thanks.
