Hi there! I'm John, a logo designer who has been using Inkscape for most of my work over the past few years. Here I'll regularly share some of the logos I designed for past clients, as well as answer any questions you may have when it comes to creating logos on Inkscape.
Here's a look at some of the recent ones I have done.
A logo I designed for a business that specializes in trading and wholesale of Japanese products. They had an original logo with a red dragon as motif, and wanted to improve upon the design. We went through a few concepts before deciding on this one.
A logo I designed for a client who was in the planning stages for a YouTube channel. He travels all over the US and Mexico for work, and wanted to share the plants and nature scenes he gets to see through videos. He wanted the logo to be circular for ease of use with social media and based on the examples he provided.
A logo I designed for a nonprofit, which was set up by the client in memory of their daughter. They wanted something memorable but simple, such as the side view of a woman holding a baby.
A logo I designed for Maid For Cleveland. The client had a rough idea of what they wanted, and my job was to build upon their idea to create this design.
A logo I designed for a consulting company that works with Human Resources and IT teams. Initially the client was thinking of some sort of sync icon for the logomark, but after presenting them with my concepts they decided to go with this design, since it's unique and conveys the nature of their business well.
A logo I designed for RABBL, a tabletop gaming group in Richmond, Virginia. They wanted a panda to represent their group, and the design should look cool on merchandise.
Just finished this logo design for a studio specializing in story-based games. The client described their studio as 'timeless', 'professional', and 'magical', and wanted the logo to represent these keywords. I presented them with a few concepts that incorporate their initials and the theme of 'magical storytelling'. We went with this one and made some revisions before finalizing.
A logo I designed for a program. The client is a broadcasting teacher who wanted to rebrand with a cleaner and more professional look. She was looking to incorporate a panther since that's the school's mascot, along with a navy blue color scheme. Ideally the logo would have "PTV" as the focal point with the full name underneath. I came up with the idea of incorporating the panther into the initials, which the client really liked, and from there it was just a matter of refinements to arrive at this final design.
I designed this logo a few years ago for Tommy's Holiday Fund, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to assist families and their companion animals with emergency and specialty vet care in Atlanta. After a few iterations , we went with this design that incorporates silhouettes of different pets and negative space. Unfortunately after 8 years they decided to shut down this August. Appreciate the work they had put in and wishing everyone involved all the best moving forward.
Had the pleasure of designing the logo for Henchmen for Hire, a game bundle on Steam by Silken Sail Entertainment, featuring a comic book world of costumed crusaders, super-powered psychopaths and the most dastardly villain of all — the gig economy. They had some references and wanted the design to parody some of the logos of other superhero comic series.
Had fun designing this logo for a client. He wanted to feature a raven with a lake and half moon, along with some trees in the background. We explored some concepts and finalized on this one.
Just completed this logo for Wheat Coast, a business which is starting with just doing cookies and eventually plan to open a food truck selling deli sandwiches and cookies. The client had the idea of a big wave out of wheat to visually represent their name.
Had the pleasure of designing this logo for Mouse Potato Lab, a minimalist data driven design and development studio with a love for design, coding and technology. They provided me with some references for the design, and based on their ideas I came up with this robot as their mascot. So far we have worked together in a few other design projects, and I really enjoyed the experience so far.

My logofolio for 2023 — a big thank you to my clients who trusted in my skills and expertise as a logo designer. And of course Inkscape!
