Program behaviour:

1. Set up the pen / tablet
2. Attempt to draw a line with pressure sensitivity; you will notice that the software treats the pen as a simple mouse; it does not detect pressure
3. Go into Edit > Input Devices > Tablet > Mode, set it (along with all sub devices) to Screen as seen in Fig 1 (attached)
4. Reattempt Step 2; it won't work obviously as you need to restart the software!
5. Restart and look at Edit > Input Devices > Tablet > Mode to find that your settings are now gone!

Normal behaviour:

1. Everything up to Step 5...
2. Except it saves the settings and detects the pressure changes!

Yeah, GAOMON pads have had a lot of issues WRT Inkscape. Have not heard much on other makers' tablets. (Not sayin that the issues don't exist...)

Thanks @TylerDurden. I've found a report for an almost identical issue, I've commented on that. Nonetheless if someone knows a quick fix that doesn't involve waiting for the next update lmk!
