It seems that this forum can't handle Inkscape's compressed svg file format. Let me see what I can do.
Problem solved. You're trying to open a compressed svg in the browser, which doesn't work. Instead download the attachment to your machine and open it with Inkscape.
I want to add text to curved surfaces in an isometric sketch and here's what I came up with.
Two LPEs are used, Clone original and Envelope Deformation. The trick is extending the top and bottom bend paths along isometric guides or gridlines.
The original text remains editable so any effect you come up with can be duplicated easily.
Is this script public?
Public? Yes, of course. Nothing private or protected here. Do with it what you will.
When trying to click "Attachments" i get an error
Do you have it linked anywhere else?
I'm trying to corner pin text in a script and I'm hoping this might be a good point of reference,
thought I love the isometric effect as well.
DrQt, I just realised what you you meant. No, I don't have a script for these text effects. The objects were created in the Inkscape GUI.
