I (Windows 10, Inkscape 1.2) have "simple snapping" and snapping is disabled (the "Enable snapping" checkbox is unchecked).
Still, when I use the node tool and drag to precisely edit the widths (the pink control nodes) of a Power Stroke, it feels like it snaps to a slightly different position every time I release the mouse button.
I can't tell if it's really a "snap" feature that's happening. I mean, if I see it snap to a position and then try to manually move that node a bit and then back to that same position, I feel like it then "snaps" to a slightly different position. It's like it doesn't really matter what position I want, it's going to pick a slightly different position no matter what.
OTOH, it DOES kind of seem like "snapping" because if I press the Alt key while dragging, it gives that same little pop of readjustment and if I keep the Alt key down, then it won't jitter when I release the mouse button.
I thought that turning off "Enable snapping" would turn off everything snapping, but is it meant to be more subtle than that?

Maybe this?
No, no effect on this behavior (but something new to play with I didn't know about!).
