i just starting using Inkscape to make graiphs for training documents for the company i work for.
How can i align two edges of rectangles to overlap exactly?
i want to align darker rectangle left edge to align with the left edge of the bigger light grey rectangle. Have i to ensure that the angle is the same for both objects beforhand? If so how can i set the same angle for the both edges?
Thanks for the help. I hope i have described my problem good enough.

Moin Jan.
Versuch mal das hier: Schalte das Snapping to midpoints aus vorher - dann ist es etwas einfacher - es sei denn es soll in der Mitte einrasten.
Try this one out.
Yeah that does work!
But a distinct snap edge-to-edge workflow is not implemented?
Youre suggestion, sound more like a workaround 😄
Nope - it´s snap+rotational snap. I don´t know of any SVG app that can do this - sounds more like a CAD feature.
You could setup a grid at a specific given angle so you can draw those without adjusting the rotation hopefully.
How do you draw a rectangle along an angled grid?
Hmm was too quick to jump in.
If you put a rectangle in a group and rotate the group with snapping preferably or by the transformation panel (Shift+Ctrl+M)
you can enter the group and duplicate rectangles that will be now fixed on that diagonal angle
so that rectangle handle snapping will be equal to snapping the edges.
