I'm new to Inkscape but have some experience with Ai.  In Ai, you can choose to outline fonts, thereby changing them from text to artwork.  Does that make sense?  The printing company I use requires all fonts to be outlined.  Is the stroke feature in flat color in Inkscape the same as outlining a font in Ai?

Object to path propably?

I need help doing the opposite of this, perhaps there is a thread that explains this?

 If that's the case you want make a font from shapes? Can you be more specific please? You know what Object to path really does?
