I see there is now a contest for the About Screen for 1.3 (means 1.3 should be almost out - Great!)
BUT, the latest operable build I have is version 1.3 dated Feb 11. All pre-releases since Feb 11, do not work. I know it is still in testing, but surely, asking for submissions for the About Screen, for 1.3, there should be some consistency??
Don't get me wrong, I think Inkscape is spectacular, just if there's a call for submissions like this then I'd probably expect them to be made with that latest version??

Yes, testing is ongoing.
It is not entirely accurate to say the dev versions after 2/11 "do not work". Inkscape 1.3-dev (1:1.2.0-alpha1+devel+202302121449+3997381668) is working here. (Linux)
NB: each time Inkscape is updated, the Preferences need to be reset and Inkscape relaunched.
The dev versions are for beta-testers to report their findings. If there are issues, reports should be filed. If there are questions regarding development version issues, the developers can be reached on the chat.
Hello i found the solution about why Inkscape 1.3 does not launch on my PC Windows 10 pro, and 1.2 no problème after a lot off different diagnostics ! it s because the default folders Images and Documents i mouved them in another place (external HD), abd after thinking about the problem, that ideas came to meand after plugin my hard drive, inkscape 1.3 launch normaly without any probleme !!!!
That why inkscape deos not launch with windows 10 or 11 maybe !! too.
i had the same issue that inkscape 1.2 launch but not 1.3 because i change before the default folder of windows in another palce as you see in screen shot ! and why i plud my hard drive that have the images( Pictures) or Documents inkscape launch without any probleme, but why 1.2 work without it and 1.3 not !?

Thanks Tyler. I'll try resetting preferences (I normally just place beta in it's own folder and try from there)...
