I use the HPGL format to drive a 48" Graphtec cutter. Been doing this for nearly 15 years.
Last time I tried to cut, the scale was off about 25% or so. Then I did another test and a 10" circle came out being 30.75 inches or somewhere in that range. Since I constantly tinker, adjust and generally mess with things, I figured it was my fault and started researching it.
Main computer is a homebuilt Linux Mint box that I just updated. Yep. That's the problem. Nope. EXACT same issue on a 6 month old Gateway laptop running Win11.
Any pointers on how to hunt down this issue? I tried a previous verion with an appimage and it scaled perfectly. Not as fond of appimages, but am going to do that until this other issue can be figured out.
i recently was able to get inkscape 92.5 on a windows xp computer to send to a GCC mercury laser engraver using the WIN32 Vector Print extension and was having scaling issues. i found i had to mess with the document properties specifically the scaling. i had to set it from 1 to .73 to get it right. could that be the issue?
